Thermal Spraying, 6 hp

The course consists of seminars and laboratory experiments in the research area of thermal spraying.

The course contents are:

• Introduction to surface engineering
• Principles of different types of thermal spray processes
• Fundamental mechanisms of coating formation
• Overview of equipment, feedstock materials, coating properties, coating characterisation and applications
• Study visit to a production facility
